Our Story and Mission

Kingdom Kids Christian Preschool is an outreach ministry of Mt. Lebanon Evangelical Presbyterian Church (MLEPC). In 1988, a group of young MLEPC mothers desired a unique preschool experience for their children. They approached the Director of Children’s Ministries at MLEPC with an idea for a distinctly Christian preschool.

As a distinctly Christian preschool, we offer six different classes to equip children 3 to 5 years old spiritually, academically, and socially. Our dedicated teaching staff encourage children to reach their full potential using daily class activities designed to reinforce our mission.

All God’s Children Are Welcome

Our small school setting offers individualized attention to ensure your child has the social/emotional and academic skills necessary for future school success. The Christ-centered environment fosters spiritual growth, offers nurturing support and warmly welcomes all children regardless of faith background.

Our Classrooms

Biblical principles and Christian values are woven into each day.
Lessons are based on themes that engage young children’s curiosity about the world around them.
Prayer is an important element of the day. We help the children realize that God is always available.
Children spend time each month learning about Galatians 3:22 and the Fruit of the Spirit: Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.

We teach social courtesy and personal responsibility.
Each child is assigned a class “job” to give them vested interest in group activities.
Children are encouraged to show respect for others, cooperate within the group and include others in play.
School behaviors are also established, such as listening while others speak, sharing materials, waiting patiently and taking turns.

Mission Projects

Twice a year, Kingdom Kids introduces the children to mission projects that help others in need. The goal is show children ways to share God’s love through unselfish acts of kindness and generosity. We set goals for each class that are regularly exceeded! Our families do indeed know how to demonstrate God’s love in tangible and intangible ways.
